Copyrights Overview

This is an explanation of how azing.org handles copyrights.

azing.org is all about sharing your recipes - just like on Wikipedia. And it also allows you to have private recipes which will not be public. So here are the rules:

  1. by default, all public content (recipes, instructions, etc.) are licensed so that others can freely use, reuse and copy the content.
  2. by default, all private content belongs to the owner and is marked as copyrighted by the owner

To keep the legal aspects simple, the free, public content must be licensed under the terms of Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License. This is basically the same license as used by Wikipedia, allowing users to freely copy content back and forth from other sources which are similarly open.
