Don't Drown in Task Floods using Waiting Tasks v25.13 (Experimental)

Don't Drown in Task Floods using Waiting Tasks v25.13 (Experimental)

We're experimenting with a better way to keep the task flood under control - using the new waiting-tasks. This is experimental, and may still change in future.

Surviving The Task Flood

We often observe that people have way too many tasks. So many, that "Today" they may have 30 to 100 tasks pending, which of course they can never handle.

People then tend to pick any one of these tasks to do next, which is unreliable - important tasks can easly get forgotten.

Our current idea - still WIP is to split the day into

  1. things which I will really do, because I must and it's urgent - these should not be too many
  2. push all the others into a "waiting/queue" group. These will probably not get done, but do contain things "to do after I did the important stuff"

Current Implementation

Put Tasks into the Waiting Group

In the date picker, you can now select to recategorize the task as waiting:

It will then be in a new group with the same date, but marked as "Waiting / Queue"

Next Step: Move All Task in a Group

Soon we'll implement a feature to move all the tasks in a day/group to another date. This should help to then move all the "waiting" tasks in one step to the next day, as needed.

Warning: Experimental

This feature is not final, and may change.

We must experiment to see if this makes life easier, or just adds more options but still results in bad organization
