If this is documented as a recipe, then the user has many checkboxes to tick, which are only anoying. Because of this, it should be in a separate document - as reference material.
Solution
Place these steps in a reference material and link to it. This will allow the user to see the steps, but won't force her to click on all checkboxes to just get to this setting.
