This assumes you're working on a Windows 10 professional edition. Other versions or editions may not have the same functionality built in.

  • Open Hyper-V Manager, Quick Create... to download and install Windows 10 dev environment.
  • Follow the wizard but then don't start it yet
  • When created in settings, please add more RAM and virtual processors. I added 16384MB, disable dynamic mermory, increased vcpu from 2 to 8. The exact settings will depend on what your PC can handle (you can change these settings again later).
  • Than start and connect.
