3. Monkeys should be fed by appointment only. The boss shouldn’t have to hunt down starving monkeys to feed them on a catch-as-catch-can basis.
This places the responsibilty for managing the monkey in the hands of the subordinate. He/She must arrange for a feeding appointment, and properly prepare the meeting so decisions can be made.
